I am extremely happy that Paris lost its bid for Olympics. I would have been happier had NY City won it but I can live with London hosting the games as well. Now Paris - Paris I cannot not stand.
French are the most vain people in the world and Paris is probably the most over-hyped city. They think no end of themselves and they have a one point agenda - oppose the Americans. It is a fitting end to their sad and tired socialist dream. The pictures coming out of Paris - with dejected and tired people looking glum were pretty telling.
