Here is another instance of ritual getting an upper hand over spirit. Apparently you can dial-a-puja on your mobile as if you are ordering a pizza and thousands if not millions will be dialing this number and will consider themselves devoted hindus.

The ritual itself has become so ingrained in our beings that the ritual itself replaces the spirtual meaning and takes the place of worshipping god. We perform the ritual by dialing the puja and consider ourselves done.
